Is it profitable to recycle in Nigeria? As a child, I used these machines in America and we were all too happy to get the receipts and collect cash inside the grocery store or buy groceries with the money we got.
I know there are recycling schemes where the items get manually weighed, but you have to wonder if they are effective as Lagos is still extremely dirty and littered with recyclable items. What are the chances we can get recycling mainstream?
Would it make a difference if recyclables can be used to pay for essential services such as education? Or Power credit? Actual things of Value? I am really just curious.
