Crochet Blanket not by me

Hey everyone, how is your week coming along? Mine has been rough and I am jot even sure where to find the bright spot outside of being alive and my family. I am TIRED and it almost feels defeating.
I have considered just upping and leaving Nigeria for valid reasons. I mean I keep asking the question why not? Especially as I am citizen of elsewhere. I am just tired and I somehow hope the phase will pass but I doubt it. I was talking to a friend today, and I was just so down….this week alone, so much loss, death. I am not ashamed to say I cried on Monday. My heart broke for someone close to my family.

I am tired, I am usually encouraging but I need the encouragement.  If you know of any good bible verses or prayers, please just leave a comment. I haven’t felt this low in a long time.

  1. My favorite bible verse is Jer 29: 11.
    King James:
11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12.Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
This is the Message bible version;11
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for”.

As low and as broken as you feel, remind God of his word and lay your heartache at his feet – For this too shall pass. Be strong Ms Pynk.

  2. Dear Ms Pynk, so sorry about your loss and how you feel right now. I want you to know that all these too shall pass. In Jeremiah 29: 11, The Lord says the plans he has for you are for good and not evil. Habakkuk 2:3 encourages you to keep believing in your vision and wait on the Lord even though things don’t seem like it now. Prov 24:16 says that no matter what you are going through, you will rise above it again.

You are a strong woman, God Has got your back and we are all here to support you in any way possible

  3. The Lord is your Shepherd OAD. He is ordering your steps and you don’t have to figure things out on your own

  4. I do not know any particular bible verse, but why comes to my mind is…there is time for everything: a time to die, and to be born; a time to sow, and time to reap; a time to rejoice and a time to be sad.
This too will pass…do not let sorrow consume You, give it a time frame, and learn from it.
May God bless you Mme. Pynk, you are an amazing babe.

  5. Awww…we all have days like this.

There was a time this year when I felt so low, depressed and future seemed bleak. The following bible verses uplifted me:

    Psalm 56: 8-11
    Psalm 61
Psalm 139 (one of the most beautiful psalms ever)
    Lamentations 3:22-23

it is well with your soul

  6. Psalm 139…I usually skip verses 10 to 22. 🙂

Psalm 19 makes , me appreciate the glory of God. It also cheers me up

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That just came to me….trust God to be who you need Him to be in your time of need.

Oyinda these moments are bound to come, the good thing is that they never last for too long. I’m sorry about whatever it is you’re dealing with that is making you feel this way but I know that it will all blow over soon. Things have a way of getting better and brighter without us even noticing. I just wish I could bottle all the happiness that your kindness has given others and send it to you right now. Smile mama, you’re loved, you’re blessed and God is by your side.

Ephesians 3:20 MSG, this has become my favourite bible verse in recent times

God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us.his spirit deeply and gently within us.

  10. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

In Him we find everlasting peace to every storm, when we trust in Him. Stay strong Miss Pynk.
