So I have been many things in my life, but one of my greatest joys has been manifested. I got the chance thanks to this blog and many wonderful people to pursue what has generally been a dream. To get an opportunity to work in the non-profit space with young girls. I got to start my journey fully thanks to Clare H. And JEOF (an NGO)! I got to meet with about 200 beautiful girls from Aunty Ayo Secondary school yesterday.

Speaking with the young women did more for me than it did for them. I feel like I should have started a long time ago. I am always worried about resources especially money, but I am starting to realise my time is equally as valuable. Based on some of the questions these young women asked- I realise I have a duty to make sure some if not all of them make it out. I sensed that so many of them are not being encouraged – likely as a result of their environments and economic/family backgrounds.
I hope to continue to engage with them and work actively on raising funds to fulfill my goals for young women in terms of education and ensuring the female population is globally competitive.

We have many callings/ purposes and sometimes it’s hard to chase them all, but with time they come into play and we can juggle them all. Thank you to Clare for inviting me out for this event. It is a life changer for me- it opened my eyes to how much I can possibly do.

One of my cousins joked cos she saw the pictures of FB and asked  if I was running for president.  Lol.

  1. Well done! You guys did an amazing job. a lot of young girls need to hear people like you speak. sometimes what the need is not even financial help. I think they need someone to reassure them about their fears but I don’t think I even know the right things to say (my cousin’s wahala).

Thumbs up Pink, Thumbs up Clare, Thumbs up Thelma!!! Quite nice to see you three making great strides. Errm…all of you that are mobilizing for presidency shouldn’t forget me ohh. lol.

  3. Thank you a million times over Miss Pynk.
Sometimes what people need is just a push in the right direction. These young women lack access to information. There is so much we can do and I absolutely look forward to working with you.

The girls couldn’t get enough of your beauty too. You were simply phenomenal.
    God bless you.
