Hey everyone, how was your weekend? Mine has been interesting and I have been reading reading reading. And of course dealing with my eight month olds who are all over the place.
I am still reading “What the Kitchen Told me” by David Thoreau (my very good friend). See how he went from my friend last week to being my very good friend this week? I like effective people. Something else struck a cord with me yesterday as I was reading the book again. This quote right here “There are more losers than winners in life, not because we all can’t win, but because we all don’t take action and try” – What the Kitchen Told Me.
You see as much as I tend to know the “truth” about my life, many times inaction is what holds me back. There are many things I should and could have done and dusted off my shoulders so to speak and I am stuck just thinking about them. So instead of action and getting the wheels on certain things rolling, I stay where I am – in my own comfort. Does it make me a loser? Yes it does in certain aspects.
I have told myself that I will start taking small baby steps towards my goals daily. I have opted to break down the tasks and get things done. Action is action so long as I work in the right direction. I have been writing a book since forever and it has 10 pages only. I don’t know who is going to buy or even read it, but I am going to take action and work on it. I am also going to work on the school and a few other things.
So are you a loser or a winner? Or is a lack of action holding you back? Do you need that extra nudge and have you surrounded yourself with the people who can help push you to action?
I have managed to convince David to “give” something to the blog. That will be coming up soon, so someone will be winning soon too! In the meantime, you can purchase What the Kitchen Told Me.
I wish you a week filled with winning.
