Sooo Happy monday…the four day weekend “have” finished. Its time to buckle up till the next holiday October 1 which is a thursday…oh well Holiday na Holiday.
I was busy minding my business till i found this virgin having babies article. Now i kept thinking to myself oh ok maybe they are having kids as surrogates to help a couple or something. But I was surprised to learn that as many as 25 women have undergone the said IVF from one clinic in the UK. So these women preserve their hymen in their bid to wait for Mr. Right, but are eager to have children.
So Mr. Right is worth waiting for to break your hymen that’s if it still exists (many people have eroded hymens due to non-sexual activities), but you won’t wait for Mr. Right to have a baby? There are many things in life that can be reversed…even now they are rebuilding hymens, people undo marriages etc. The one thing you cannot undo is the parent of your child.
See as far as I am concerned there is a basis for egg vitrification (freezing your eggs) in that you haven’t met Mr. Right, but your ovaries are on the highway and about to get off at the next exit and you want to preserve your fertility till Mr. Right shows up or your lifestyle becomes less demanding. This I can understand and even support within reason..i had this convo with a 40 year old single friend who can afford vitrification, but doesn’t have a partner at the moment and isn’t interested in having a child for any random joe blow.
Can you please help me understand how this makes any sense? If I am looking from one angle, please help me see otherwise. Please share your thoughts.
