I told yah, boy that Yoga is the business. I keep rediscovering my muscles that i havent used in how long. Its much better than running  in the cold i can tell you for free.  Its also helping me feel less like a trash receptacle..aka i am eating healthier and walking a lot more. Exploring London by foot….and just seeing how things are going. I had coconut and cranberry with a shrimp salad from sainsbury for brunch and very little fried rice and stewed beef. Also drank 1.5 litres of water today. That whole drinking 2 litres is hard though, does anyone really do it?

Also yoga has made me more optimistic. Sometimes i sit and think about what i used to do work wise, how ambitious i used to be etc in my 20s. Dont get me wrong but trying to start the school, there have been some frustrations..personal and systemic. I have several other things that have started peeking at me. In the last two days two different people have communicated opportunites to me, so i am hopeful

A dream defferred isnt a dream killed. And thats what i have to keep reminding myself. I think as human beings we all go through the moments where the world feels like its crashing around you…well it feels like its not anymore…i see some light, not  sure if its the full light, but some light is good enough right now.

I am currently addicted to the game kitchen  scramble. Its really a fun game for me.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

6 Comments on Optimism

  1. Your brunch sounds tempting! i try to drink 2 litres of water daily, i have and app on my phone which reminds me to drink water every hour, its called Hydro.

i’m glad you can see the light despite all the challenges you go through, that is what gives us hope to keep pressing on despite all.

I really wishing all your dreams concerning the school comes through soon. Have a lovely week.

  2. A dream deferred isn’t a dream killed! So True. Drinking 2litres a daily is serious hard work but thank God the weather is hot so now I drink more than 2litres a day.
I love your spirit when you write about exercise,it kinda drives home the point that it might not be easy but it so worth it.
About your school, just take each step at a time and don’t let the bad energy get to you, that school would be running soon; a step at a time.

  3. I’m also on the healthier lifestyle thing, and yes I manage to drink about 2.5L everyday (without any junk!). For someone who used maybe survive on about 500mls of coke only, this is how I do it: 3 cups of warm water between waking up and leaving the house 1hr later. Regular cups of tea throughout the day, water every single time I feel my mouth needing something…I’m used to it now, and actually drink a lot more without really thinking about it.

About the school, I believe that things happen for a reason, and it will all fall perfectly into place when the time is right. I’m glad you remain un-discouraged!

  4. Water. I just drink as the thirst comes. I don’t follow the 2 litres daily routine.

Good to hear all is going well for you.

  5. Pls what do u guys use to measure the 2litres of water and thank you mrs pynk for the spar giveaway. Optimism is essential in life so as not to allow room for depression. Whichever way things turn out I always try to look at the brighter side like today.

  6. Like ur saying -a dream deferred isn’t a dream killed, makes me feel at ease not to rush my plans too.
Talking about eating/living healthy, think am looking healthy now without paying much attention to what am eating, used to pay attention to my meals until an emotional breakdown made me loose weight drastically & looked sick but am all good now & loving my new size & hoping it remains:-)
