Oh Boy, More Royalty Speaking

Is there something wrong with monarchies and the surrounding people? The latest saga has been the Ondo X disease. If you have been watching the news, you will know it killed quite a few people, about 20 or so roughly lives lost. Now some Chief in Ondo State alleged that the people dying from the disease tampered with a shrine. This same chief even quoted the bible while at it. Another person said they went to exhume corpses or something like that.

I made a decision to say nothing on the matter until they were sure what the cause of the deaths were. So of course they ruled out Ebola and a few other things. I know my education was not a waste, and frankly i don’t believe anybody who can talk about traditional religion- shrine matters and then turn around and quote the bible. The sad part is the guy was just talking. I mean do they assume the general public has the same level IQ as them? They have messed up Nigeria, they should stay away from the front lines. Yes i said it, that generation has failed us.

Is there something with African monarchs and their associates? They have mouths with diarrhea. Is it everything they think of they must say out loud? The deaths were later confirmed to be from ethanol poisoning which was as a results of all the casualties (motorcyclists) gathering at a local bar to drink. Not knowing they were being poisoned. Hopefully the owner of the joint has been arrested.

Is there something wrong with African generation baby boomers – those 50 and upwards? Its like they don’t have filters, censors or even discretion. Think it and gbam say it out loud. These people need image consultants. Do they see the Queen of England threatening the lives of her subjects or just speaking off cuff?

I just don’t get it.

I think the immunity clause is what is making royalty shoot their mouth off like this.

When most of them didn’t go to school and those who went didn’t take their education seriously.. . Especially we yorubas who already know right from time that their future is secured with power

  4. I think they just say whatever comes to their mind when talking. Diplomacy is obviously not relevant. Just read about the South African minister that said foreigners should share the secret of their success to avoid being looted. Can u imagine such trash? Some idiotic guys now will act on her words and she will later say she didn’t tell them to kill anyone. I think the problem with Africa might be that political positions come with a lot of financial gain so the connected ones even if not right for the position struggle to get it.

  5. I’m just tired of all these supposedly powerful people/monarchs running their mouths, can they shut up already. I saw the shrine palava on one blog yesterday it sounded too stupid for me to spend my time reading it.
At least, now we know that its not a “spiritual” matter.

Loving the new look of the blog… Pink – PYNK!

  6. Funny how people just talk on a whim… I’m just concerned about what will happen next when the supposed icons of a people – Royalties – have no regard for Godhood.

  7. This is what happens when people feel they are above the law. Sometimes I just wonder how they think, because you want the world to believe that the god you are serving is not dead, you decided to poison the drink of your fellow human being. He kept opening his goro mouth on tv saying the gods are angry and other BS, not knowing nemesis is at his door. Our leaders need serious prayers.

Let’s face it people do ask to be dominated. Otherwise in this world of we are all Equal as humans why would some in a capitalist society sit on their asses while some do the work to pay for their welfare?

  12. It’s just the typical backward mentality, people should know when to keep quiet kings, chiefs or whatnots we are not (at least not any longer) in the stone age. Their educated subjects should please inform them

  13. Its true this is an african mentality, because the monarchs in other parts of the world have more tact.
